1. About LeaveLekker
LeaveLekker is a South African leave- and travel-planning website. We help users combine annual leave with weekends and public holidays and provide optional links to third-party flight and accommodation providers.
We do not sell flights or accommodation, take payments, make bookings or act as a travel agent. Any booking is made directly with the provider you choose.
2. Information handled when you use the site
You can use LeaveLekker without creating an account or giving us your name, telephone number or payment details.
- Leave-planning information: your allowance, work schedule, selected holidays, blocked dates and calculated plan are processed in your browser. LeaveLekker does not intentionally send or store these selections on its servers.
- Travel-search information: supported accommodation links include your destination and dates when you click them. General partner links require you to enter your search on the provider’s website. If you choose to load the Travelstart form, information entered into that form is handled directly by Travelstart and its partners.
- Technical information: our hosting and security infrastructure may automatically process limited request information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, timestamps, referring page and diagnostic or security logs.
- Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and the information contained in your message.
3. Why information may be processed
Where POPIA applies, information is processed only where there is an appropriate justification—for example, to provide the service you requested, operate and secure the website, respond to you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate operational interests or act with your consent where consent is required.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Affiliate disclosure
LeaveLekker may earn a commission when you book through selected partner links, at no additional cost to you. An affiliate partner or network may use a link identifier, cookie or similar technology to recognise that a booking followed a referral from LeaveLekker.
LeaveLekker remains independent. Affiliate relationships do not change the leave calculation, and you are free to use any booking provider you prefer—including one that is not linked from this website.
Affiliate partners currently include Booking.com through CJ, Agoda, Travelstart through Impact, and Expedia.
6. Third-party websites and providers
Travel links may take you to services such as flight or accommodation websites. The third party controls its own website and data practices, including within the optional Travelstart form on this site. Review its privacy policy, cookie notice, booking terms and cancellation rules before submitting personal or payment information.
Third-party providers may operate or process information outside South Africa. Their own policies explain the countries and safeguards involved. Where LeaveLekker itself transfers personal information across borders, we will apply the safeguards required by POPIA.
7. Sharing and retention
Information may be processed by service providers that host, secure or maintain the website; by a travel provider you deliberately choose to visit; or where disclosure is required by law. We do not share leave-planning inputs with advertisers.
Because there are no user accounts, LeaveLekker does not maintain personal leave-plan profiles. Technical logs and privacy correspondence may be kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, legal compliance and responding to enquiries, subject to the practices of the relevant service provider.
8. Your POPIA rights
Subject to POPIA and applicable limitations, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or correction, ask for deletion where appropriate, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a concern about how information is handled.

9. Security and policy updates
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to this lightweight service. No internet service is completely risk-free, so please do not send sensitive personal, medical, identity or payment information to LeaveLekker by email.
We may update this policy when the website, service providers, affiliate relationships or applicable requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
